Report: Ministry sees Sberbank’s dividends rising 55% in 2019

MOSCOW, Sep 19 (PRIME) -- The Russian Finance Ministry expects to receive 209.5 billion rubles in dividends from Sberbank in 2019, which is 55% more than in 2018, newswire RBC reported on Wednesday, citing a draft federal budget for 2019–2021.

“It is expected that the central bank, which owns the controlling stake in Sberbank, will receive 209.5 billion rubles in dividend payments in 2019 and then contribute them to the budget… A year earlier, the government received 135.5 billion ruble dividends from Sberbank. This way, the dividends will rise by almost 74 billion rubles, by about 55%,” RBC reported.

The dividend contribution to the budget is expected at 220.8 billion rubles in 2020 and 231.1 billion rubles in 2021, according to the document cited by the newswire.
